
David D. Coffin, AIA
David D. Coffin founded the practice that would ultimately become Doyle Coffin Architecture and established a legacy of design excellence, community service, and professional mentorship that continues to guide the firm today.
Raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dave graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School before earning his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. A gifted athlete, he excelled in both football and track, helping lead Penn to Ivy League championships in both sports during his senior year. Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, he attended Harvard University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Architecture.
Throughout a distinguished career spanning decades, Dave designed numerous civic, religious, commercial, and residential projects throughout the region while mentoring generations of architects. Deeply committed to his community, he served as Chairman of Ridgefield’s Architectural Advisory Committee for more than 25 years, sat on the Building Code Board of Appeals, and generously provided pro bono design services to local nonprofit and religious organizations.
Dave‘s commitment to thoughtful design, professional integrity, and community leadership remains a cornerstone of Doyle Coffin Architecture’s culture and values.

Peter T. Coffin, AIA

Peter Coffin is a Principal of Doyle Coffin Architecture and has spent more than three decades helping clients transform ideas into thoughtfully designed and enduring places. His work spans a diverse range of project types, including custom residences, private clubs, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, municipal, and institutional facilities throughout the Northeast.
Peter holds architecture degrees from Miami University and the University of Pennsylvania and is licensed to practice architecture in Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Known for his collaborative approach, Peter works closely with clients from the earliest stages of planning through construction, helping navigate complex design challenges while maintaining a focus on quality, functionality, and long-term value.
As a lifelong resident of Ridgefield and active community leader, Peter has dedicated significant time to civic and charitable organizations. He currently serves as a Corporator for Ridgefield Bank and as an Incorporator for both the Ridgefield Community Center and Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association. He is also Chair of the Town of Ridgefield Building Code Board of Appeals and a member of the Ridgefield Rotary Club. His past service includes leadership and board positions with the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, Ridgefield Soccer Club, Mount Snow Academy, and the Ridgefield Library, where he continues to serve as an Emeritus Board Member.
Peter is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is also a licensed Interior Designer. His commitment to design excellence, community engagement, and client service continues to shape the culture and work of Doyle Coffin Architecture.

John M. Doyle, AIA, LEED AP

John Doyle is a Principal of Doyle Coffin Architecture and has spent more than three decades creating thoughtful and enduring design solutions for residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and institutional clients throughout the Northeast. He is recognized for his design leadership, attention to detail, and ability to guide complex projects from concept through construction.
John earned architecture degrees from the University of Maryland and the University of Texas at Austin and is licensed to practice architecture in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Florida. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of both the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
In addition to his professional practice, John is actively involved in both industry and community leadership. He has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of AIA Connecticut and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Wilton Architectural Review Board and President of the Ridgefield Bank Residential Development Company. He previously served as President of the Our Lady of Fatima School Advisory Board.

Eric Flanders is an Associate with Doyle Coffin Architecture and the manager of the firm’s Dover, New Hampshire office. Since joining the firm in 1997, Eric has become an integral part of its success, bringing nearly three decades of experience in project management, technical coordination, and client service.
A graduate of Keene State College, Eric is a licensed architect in New Hampshire and a member of both the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Throughout his career, he has worked on a diverse range of residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional projects throughout New England, helping clients navigate projects from initial planning through construction.
Known for his collaborative approach and practical problem-solving skills, Eric works closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are thoughtfully designed, well-coordinated, and successfully executed. In addition to his architectural practice, he is a member of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association and serves on the New Hampshire Architects & Engineers Emergency Response Task Force.

Michelle L. Myers, AIA

In addition to his project responsibilities, he leads the firm’s technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives, helping to advance design coordination, project visualization, and production efficiency across the practice. Beyond his professional practice, Alex is actively involved in the community. He currently serves as a Trustee of Ridgefield Academy and Co-President of Lounsbury House. He also volunteers with Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, serving on both the Construction and Site Selection Committees.

Richard A. Zini, Jr., Associate AIA

Richard Zini has been a valued member of Doyle Coffin Architecture since 2006, bringing extensive experience in project management, construction administration, and client advocacy. Throughout his career, Rick has worked closely with owners, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to guide projects from initial planning through successful completion.
A graduate of the Boston Architectural College, Rick also earned a Construction Project Management Certification through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is LEED accredited through the U.S. Green Building Council. His broad professional experience spans residential, commercial, institutional, municipal, and federal projects, providing clients with a practical understanding of both design and construction.
Rick plays a key role in coordinating project teams, maintaining communication among stakeholders, and ensuring that projects remain aligned with design goals, budget requirements, and construction schedules. His collaborative approach and attention to detail have made him a trusted resource for clients throughout the Northeast.
Beyond his professional work, Rick has served on Planning Board Commissions, Zoning Regulations Review Committees, and various public safety and community development organizations. He has also received recognition from the U.S. Department of Defense for design excellence and consulting services related to federal and military building programs.
As an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects and an active participant in numerous professional organizations, Rick remains committed to delivering projects that reflect the highest standards of quality, service, and professionalism.

Mark A. Yuschak

After serving as a summer intern with Doyle Coffin Architecture in 2023, Mark joined the firm full-time in 2024. A graduate of Marywood University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he contributes to a wide range of projects with a particular focus on 3D visualization, architectural representation, and hand drawing.
Mark combines traditional architectural illustration skills with modern visualization tools to help clients and project teams better understand and communicate design concepts. His ability to translate ideas into compelling visual representations supports the design process from early concept development through project presentation.
Outside of the office, Mark is actively involved in his church community. He serves as Music Director for the Orthodox Church in America’s New England Diocese Youth Rally Summer Camp and as Assistant Choir Director at Christ the Savior Parish in Southbury, Connecticut. He has also assisted various parishes throughout the Diocese with design, communications, and outreach-related initiatives.
Mark’s creativity, technical abilities, and commitment to service make him a valued member of the Doyle Coffin Architecture team.

Krystle J. Toczylowski, AIA

Krystle Toczylowski serves as a Design Consultant to Doyle Coffin Architecture, providing expertise in residential design, kitchen planning, interior environments, and master planning. Working closely with clients and the design team, she helps create spaces that are both highly functional and thoughtfully tailored to each project’s unique goals and vision.
Krystle earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University. Prior to joining Doyle Coffin Architecture in 2010, she worked for the internationally recognized urban design firm Chan Krieger Sieniewicz in Boston, Massachusetts.
A licensed architect in Massachusetts and a member of both the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Krystle brings a broad design perspective to every project. Her experience ranges from detailed residential planning and interior design to larger-scale master planning efforts, helping clients navigate complex design decisions while maintaining a clear vision for the finished result.

Randa H. Rum

Randa Rum joined Doyle Coffin Architecture in 2024 as Office Manager and serves as the organizational backbone of the firm. Randa holds a degree in Law from her native country of Jordan and brings a strong foundation in organization, communication, and problem-solving to her role. As a central point of coordination for the practice, she manages office operations, communications, scheduling, and administrative processes that keep projects and business activities running efficiently.
