Aldrich Museum “Old Hundred”
An art collector’s home, “Old Hundred” was converted to exhibit wonders of the art world for public appreciation, but when the new museum was built, the “Old Hundred” home was converted to museum offices. Over the decades many of this building’s traditional details and elements such as the front porch were removed. Historic restoration efforts led to the re-construction of a new front porch based off of historic photographic evidence, restoration of old windows and missing trim and modifications for handicap accessibility.
